The 1920s – The company was established by František and Zdeněk Charvát. First it was a roofing company, but later it became an important Czech manufacturer of tar board.
1991 – The company was returned to the original owner, Mr. Zdeněk Charvát.
1993 – Transformation to a Limited liability company (LLC), modernization of the manufacturing equipment, beginning of bitumen sanded cardboard production.
1999 – Beginning of production of meltable waterproofing membranes made of oxidised bitumen.
2001 – The joint-stock company Charvát a.s. was established.
2004 – After a big investment in new technological equipment, the company started production of roof shingles.
2014 - Important investment in new production technologies, especially in the production of modified SBS belts.
2014/2015 - Construction of a modern warehouse and shopping center.
